We were fortunate to be able to observe the Ciiff diving event in Arendal this year. It was a qualifying event for the World Tour, and many divers from around the world were participating. In Norway it's called "death" diving, a popular event among youth.

Ikke årets første bad, men årets første sommer-bad! Henriette hadde tatt med litt lunch og det ble en fin avslutning på pinsen. Vi cruiset litt rundt i nabolaget etter badeturen, vi er heldige som kan få bo her.

I morgen er det eksamen, da er det slutt på morroa :-o

Today we visited the 1st Eydehavn Scout Group at their fantastic scout cabin on Buøya, just north of Arendal. The plan for the day was to practice throwing rescue lines — a vital lifesaving skill. But little did we know that their training would turn into a real-life rescue mission!

Out of nowhere, a man slipped down the slick rocks and plunged straight into the cold water. Luckily, he was wearing a survival suit — but even so, it was a serious situation. The scouts sprang into action. Twelve young scouts quickly formed a team, tossing rescue lines and working together to pull the man safely back onto land.

It was a thrilling moment for everyone involved — and a perfect, if unexpected, opportunity to put their skills to the test. The scouts were excited to help, and the man was certainly grateful to have a dozen capable rescuers ready to spring into action!

Alright, buckle up for a wild ride through today’s epic adventure!

The kindergarten where Trygg hangs out threw the ultimate end-of-year picnic bash—and oh boy, what a grand finale! The kiddos stole the show with their very own performance, and let me tell you, it was a magical extravaganza packed with mischievous trolls, fire-breathing dragons, and dazzling princesses strutting their stuff.

After the curtain dropped on this pint-sized spectacle, the parents, bursting with gratitude, handed out flowers to the staff as a big thank-you for keeping the little champs safe, happy, and thriving in their cozy kingdom!

Not every day sparkles with the same brilliance, so we seize the chance to savor the ones that do! Just down the street lies a hidden gem—a quaint lookout point that feels like a portal to adventure. From here, we’re treated to a breathtaking panorama: the shimmering sea stretching endlessly to Denmark, the vibrant pulse of downtown below, and the distant allure of Galtesund between Tromøy island and Hisøy island on the horizon. It’s the kind of view that stops you in your tracks. A quick stroll often turns into a 15-minute odyssey—there’s just so much to soak in, from the dance of the waves to the fleeting details that catch the eye. Every moment here feels like a little gift from the universe!

This weekend, we plunged into a whirlwind of culture with a trip to the theater! There’s nothing like soaking up the magic of live performance to ignite the soul. The show was quite exiting, with every moment pulling us deeper into its spell. Especially the footwork on stage, which had us buzzing with excitement!

It sparked wild dreams of flying to the lights of New York City. Maybe dad should chase a job at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church there to make it happen!

We got good seats—right up front, so close we could feel the energy from the stage. What was the highlight? When the kindhearted man who adopts Annie stepped into the spotlight. That moment hit like a thunderbolt, stealing our breaths and leaving us on the edge of our seats. It was pure theatrical magic! We’re already counting down to our next adventure in the world of drama—more theater is definitely in our future!

Rykter går i nabolaget om at makreller har kommet inn i fjorden. Vi fant ut at det var best å sjekke, men den var i tilfelle ikke så glad i kokte reker 🤔 Vi prøver igjen om noen dager!!

I går tok jeg et avbrekk fra lesingen for å spise is sammen med familien. Vi kjørte forbi Kilsund og endte opp i Lyngør. Strålende vær bidro til at det ble en fin tur, men skjærgården er like fin selv om det regner eller blåser. Vi er heldige som kan få bo i denne delen av verden.

Vi hadde besøk fra Østlandet denne helgen og etter hennes sigende fristet turen til gjentagelse :-)

I dag var vi bidragsytere under gudstjenesten på Hisøy, det var spennende! Vi gikk samlet fra kirken og opp til Boes utsikt, Per Helge var sporty og gikk sammen med oss :-) Det er litt kjekt for meg som snart har eksamen, da får jeg snakket litt med Per om ting som ikke andre forstår :-o

Trygg syns det var en fantastisk dag ute i det fine været, men jeg har en mistanke om at dette grunnet i hans seier i konkurransen på toppen!!

Trygg fikk kle seg ut som Jesus under fremføringen vi hadde på veien. Hadde Jesus vokst opp i Alta hadde han hatt komager poengterte Trygg!

Hmm.. Vi prøvde i alle fall! En fisk bet av fiskesnøret og kom seg løs, resten spiste opp posen med reker. Nå er i alle fall fiskene mette og gode 😍✌️ Turen endte med fikabrød og varm kaffe, det ble en god ende på fisketuren :-)

Well, folks, today has been a wild ride! I just tackled the first day of an exam for a whopping 30-credit course—a 4-day home exam, no less. And just when I thought I could focus, life threw a curveball: my son is getting his tonsils out tomorrow! Concentration? What’s that? 😅 Most of my studying revolves around "commitment agreements" (whatever that means under these circumstances!), and boy, do I need some mental toughness—resilience, if you will—right now. So, while I’m buried under a mountain of theology books (check out the pic!), I’m also sending up a prayer for some divine support to get me through these chaotic days.Wish me luck, and stay tuned for more updates from this exam-and-tonsil saga! 📚🙏

Today we rolled into Strömstad, Sweden, to hang with our buddy and his crew. Lunch was straight-up glorious, and we even got to bask in the sun with coffee afterward like fancy folks.
Trygg and Lisa went head-to-head in a memory game, and let me tell you, I’m thrilled I dodged that bullet! I’ve got an exam looming, and I’m already whispering to myself, 'You got this, champ.' Trygg mopped the floor with 90% of the cards—my ego would’ve been flattened like a Swedish pancake if I’d played!

Ja vi rakk å si hei til Tim Tordivel også! Han er type sier Trygg ✌️ Mamma er fotograf 😊

Først gikk vi i 17 mai toget sammen med barnehagen, deretter 9 stk is å photoshoot, deretter flaggbærer i neste 17 mai tog i Eydehavn, deretter en time i badebassenget sammen med et par kompiser. Helt ok 17 mai for jr. -> Pappa happy 😁

I dag var jeg gaming ansvarlig på Hisøy for skoleungdom, Trygg var med som assistent i sola!

I dag var vi på hytta til Arendal Seilforening og deltok på dugnad! Jr. fikk seg en is, så da er livet bare bra :-D
